PUBLICATIONS - Reports: "A rainfall-runoff modeling procedure for improving estimates of T-year (annual) floods for small drainage basins" In Reply Refer To: November 6, 1978 EGS-Mail Stop 415 SURFACE WATER BRANCH TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM NO. 79.01 Subject: PUBLICATIONS - Reports: "A rainfall-runoff modeling procedure for improving estimates of T-year (annual) floods for small drainage basins" by R. W. Lichty and F. Liscum The enclosed report provides some maps and relations that might be used to improve flood-frequency estimates derived either from observed flood records or from synthetic flood records generated by a rainfall-runoff model. The maps and relations are based upon analyses of flood data observed at 99 small-stream sites and long-term precipitation data re- corded at 36 sites. A great deal of these data were obtained and/or processed by WRD field offices. The report should be of interest and use to WRD hydrologists engaged in rainfall-runoff modeling and/or flood-peak-frequency estimations. We have no additional copies, so please call the report to the attention of the appropriate people in each district. Harry H.
