Subject:  Minutes of February 27 - March 1, 2002, Instrumentation Committee Meeting

This memorandum reports on the February 27 -- March 1, 2002 joint meeting 
of the Water Resources Discipline (WRD) Instrumentation Committee (ICOM) 
and Instrumentation Advisory Subcommittee (ITAS). The meeting was held at 
the HIF at Stennis Space Center, MS, and in Gulfport, MS. The primary 
purpose of the meeting was to: 
   Review progress reports for selected priority instrumentation projects 
   Prepare recommendations and evaluate instrumentation needs requests 
   Tour the HIF and the OSW Hydraulics Lab and meet the staffs 
   Review the 5-Year Plan 
   Receive reports on critical instrumentation-related issues from the HIF, 
   Discipline Offices, and the Water Survey of Canada

The next meeting of the ICOM will be a joint meeting with the ITAS and 
will be held at the District Office in Anchorage, Alaska, on August 13-15, 2002.
