Subject:  Minutes of March 20-22, 2001, Instrumentation Committee Meeting

This memorandum reports on the March 20-22, 2001, joint meeting of the 
Water Resources Discipline (WRD) Instrumentation Committee (ICOM) and 
Instrumentation Advisory Subcommittee (ITAS).  The meeting was held at the 
District Office in Honolulu Hawaii.  The primary purpose of the meeting 
was to: 
Review progress reports for selected priority instrumentation projects 
Prepare recommendations and evaluate instrumentation needs requests 
Meet with staff of the Honolulu office in a town meeting and selective 
technology transfer meetings 
Receive progress reports on several 5-Year Plan issues, such as the FY 
2001 Biennial Survey of Hydrologic Field Instrumentation and Equipment 
Projects and Needs and the National Instrumentation Testing and 
Calibration Program 
Receive reports on critical instrumentation-related issues for the HIF, 
Discipline Offices, NRP, and the Water Survey of Canada

The next meeting of the ICOM will be a joint meeting with the ITAS and 
will be held at the District Office in Mounds View Minnesota on August 
7-9, 2001.
