MEMORANDUM To: All Travel, Purchase and Fleet Credit Card Holders From: Lisa E. Zukowski Office of Acquisition and Federal Assistance Subject: SMARTPAY STATUS - Charge Card Re-Issuance The Department of the Interior has issued 4 more Charge Card Bulletins, #6-#9, summarized below, the most important being number 9 on Charge Card Re-issuance. The bulletins are posted in their entirety on the OPS Internet site and summarized below: http://www.usgs.gov:8888/ops/acquisition/bcbulett.html BULLETIN #6 - AGENCY PROGRAM COORDINATOR (APC) TRAINING IS AVAILABLE The Bank of America scheduled training for APC's during September. BULLETIN #7 - SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONALITY: EAGLS RELEASE 4 Bank of America scheduled a new release of the EAGLS system to be installed on September 11, 1999. Year 2000 implications have postponed this new release until April 2000. An amendment to this Bulletin is forthcoming. BULLETIN #8 - AUGUST BILLING STATEMENTS FOR ALL ACTIVE ACCOUNT All cardholders should have received the August 27, 1999 statement from the bank even if there was no activity on the account. The purpose for this was to inform all cardholder of the name change from NationsBank to Bank of America. BULLETIN #9 - PREPARATIONS FOR DEPARTMENT-WIDE CHARGE CARD RE-ISSUANCE IN PROGRESS This Bulletin provides preliminary information on the Department-wide charge card re-issuance. USGS charge cards will be re-issued October 29, 1999. Receipt of the new cards can be expected 10-14 calendar days following. More details will be provided as the time nears. -Charge cards with an account number beginning with "5568 16..." with NOT be reissued. -Fleet cards will NOT be reissued until January 2000. Old cards are still valid until the new cards are received and activated. Upcoming Bulletins will detail receipt of reissued cards, related mailings and other guidance.
