Public Law 100-656 requires agencies to assemble a “forecast” of planned procurements in order to make procurement activities available to the small business community.  Each cost center needs to provide a list of their planned procurements over $100,000 for

FY 2001.  This listing should include any procurement over $100,000 in FY 2001 regardless of its source.  For assistance in meeting this requirement, please refer to attachment 1, draft revision to 404 DM – Acquisition Planning, which is still in effect.

Offices with planned procurements over $100,000 should complete a form (attachment 2) for each planned procurement action.  Offices with no planned procurements over $100,000 in FY 2001 should submit a negative reply.  For reference, Attachment 3 is a listing of WRD’s FY 2000 submission.

Since the FY 2001 appropriations are uncertain at this time, please mark each procurement forecast as (r) recurring, (pr) probable, (po) possible.  Actions that will be exercised under existing contract options should also be noted in the column with the contract number.  Please assure each entry provides complete and informative descriptions.

I apologize for the short deadline but the division just received this request.  If you have any questions or need assistance to provide input, please contact me at (703) 648-5036 or via e-mail (vtbass).  Thanks for your assistance in meeting this Bureau deadline.
