Subject:  Pre-Payment of National Training Center Courses

This is advance notice for planning purposes, that the Division's 
Employee Development Committee has recommended and the Human Resources 
Management Committee has endorsed a process to allow cost centers to 
pre-pay National Training Center (NTC)-sponsored courses through the 
NTC's fee-for-service working capital fund (WCF).  Each participating 
cost center will be given a unique account number for tracking purposes.  
Monies deposited can only be used for NTC-sponsored courses, i.e., those 
advertised by the NTC which includes Regional training.  Additional 
information on cost-per-unit of training, deadlines for making deposits, 
and any limits on the maximum time monies can be held in deposit, will be 
forthcoming in a WRD numbered memorandum.  The process will be in place 
for initial deposits this fiscal year so please watch for that numbered 
memo.
