SUBJECT: End of Sitel Contract for PC and MAC Computer Support

On December 8, 1997 Gloria Stiltner sent DIS Information Technology
Infrastructure Direction, Memo #2, Call-in support for PC and MAC
Operating Systems and Applications to all WRD employees in email.
Since that time, the Water Resources Division has been participating
with the Geologic Division, the Director's Office and the Office of
Program Support in a support contract with Sitel Corporation to
provide a mechanism for user support for PC and MAC operating systems
and applications. The Sitel contract ends on November 25, 1998 and WRD
employees will no longer be able to call Sitel for support after that
date.  USGS plans to put a new contract in place in the near future.
When this contract is awarded, an email will be sent to all WRD
employees.  In the meantime, users with questions may send email to
the WRD internal help groups such as ms-office_help, nt_help, etc.
Support for Macintosh is not available directly from DIS.  The
