In Reply Refer To: Mail Stop 231 MEMORANDUM January 11, 1999 To: Division Administrative Officers From: Bert Simon Chief, Branch of Materials Management Subject: Worldwide Express Contracts (WWX) The General Services Administration (GSA) has established an international express package service dubbed World Wide Express (WWX) that provides door-to-door pickup and delivery of packages weighing up to 150 pounds. There are three participating service providers: Federal Express (FedEx), Dalsey, Hillblom, and Lynn (DHL), and United Parcel Service (UPS). The service areas are set up according to military "theatres" as provided in the attachment. Rates and processing information may be obtained from the service providers' web sites identified in the attachment. Transit time will vary according to country and inquiries regarding transit should be referred to the appropriate carrier. The domestic express small package contract with FedEx for next and second business day delivery service remains in effect through August 15, 1999.
