Cc: scholz@usgs.gov, jhebron@usgs.gov, tsutton@usgs.gov, kmoss@usgs.gov I recently received a letter from Gelco stating that several problems/issues have been identied with Travel Manager, especially in the area of database conversion from (and previous version) databases. Gelco states that they are testing the software to resolve these issues and plan to rerelease the software at the end of May and plan to resume shipments of Travel Manager 7.1c software on May 26, 1999. The current version of Travel Manager 7.1c (with one additional software patch) should work with a new installation of 7.1c (without the 7.1a database conversion), but users who wish to upgrade their databases from 7.1a to 7.1c should wait until the May 26th re-release of the software before proceeding to version 7.1c. The USGS has been using the Travel Manager FFS interface for a few years, but it has been restricted to use by the Water Resourses Division, and has not been available to Travel Manager 7 users in the other Divisions. We contracted with Gelco to upgrade the Travel Manager FFS interface to work with Travel Manager 7 -- Gelco is requiring us to use the Travel Manager 7 Electronic Processing module for Travel Manager FFS interface processing. We are working on configuring and testing the Travel Manager FFS interface and will have more information on this later, as well as information on integrating Travel Manager Electronic Processing with USGS Lotus Notes. The net result is that you should start installing the Travel Manager Electronic Processing Module in addition to the Document Preparation Module on new installation and upgrades -- there are additional license numbers and control codes for the document preparation/electronic processing module installations: Platform Serial Number Control Number standalone dp/ep 7130003c-defn-wn-p-x 22B45766 NLM dp/ep 7130003c-def-w-p-n 90DDA89B NT dp/ep 7130003c-defn-wn-p-t C480A472 NT Web dp/ep* 7130003c-defn-bwn-p-t E0CF4DDD Unix dp/ep* 7130003c-defn-uwn-p-u F7B4599E * requires on site Gelco installation support Date: Thu, 15 Apr 1999 10:24:35 -0400 To: gsisler@usgs.gov, ssheely@usgs.gov, tmitchel@usgs.gov, tphi@usgs.gov, ahjohnson@usgs.gov, marjorie_audsley@nbs.gov, ivette_z_gosser@usgs.gov, karen_cunningham@usgs.gov, renee_jones@usgs.gov, john@usgs.gov, lawrence_f_ferris@usgs.gov, maribeth_brown@usgs.gov, henry_bourne@usgs.gov, scott_nelson@usgs.gov, jrichard@usgs.gov, lorna_young@usgs.gov, klist@usgs.gov, robin_owens@usgs.gov, michael_schwartz@usgs.gov, sue_bencus@usgs.gov, dave_beck@nbs.gov, ssheely@usgs.gov, tommie@usgs.gov, lpomeroy@usgs.gov, tcwood@usgs.gov, rfmunch@usgs.gov, rhodesm@ccmail.orst.edu (Michael E Rhodes), cdfreest@usgs.gov, miste_salmon@usgs.gov, cbowers@usgs.gov, tpolak@usgs.gov, kwest@usgs.gov, fbucci@usgs.gov, joan_thiebaud@usgs.gov, Paula_Mansfield@usgs.gov, "Ronald E Kerner" (Ron Kerner), gjhenry@usgs.gov, dstraub@usgs.gov, tina_licari@usgs.gov, jim_capezza@usgs.gov, annette_k_kennedy@usgs.gov, "Diana L Mullis, Secretary (OA), Kearneysville, WV" (Diana Mullis), carl_griffis@usgs.gov, dolores_richardson@usgs.gov, karrie_west@usgs.gov, llyman@usgs.gov From: Robert Arnberg Subject: Travel Manager 7.1c Issues and TM71c Doc Prep/Electronic Processing Serial Numbers and Control Codes.
