Bass Chief, Management Support Section, Water Resources Division Subject: Emergency Response Guidebook 2000 REPLY REQUESTED by COB TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 1999 U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE CIRCULAR LETTER NO. 452 The Government Printing Office (GPO) is now accepting rider orders for the Department of Transportation (DOT) publication entitled 'Emergency Response Guidebook 2000 (ERG2000)'. ERG2000 was developed jointly by DOT and the Canadian and Mexican governments for use by firefighters, police, and other emergency services personnel who may be the first to arrive at the scene of a transportation accident involving hazardous materials. It is primarily a guide to aid first responders in quickly identifying the specific or generic classification of the materials involved and protecting themselves and the general public during the initial response phase. Submit your requirements to Patricia A. Powers [papowers] for the Emergency Response Guidebook 2000 (ERG2000) by CLOSE OF BUSINESS Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 21, 1999. A negative response is not required.
