The USGS has very little control over this system or it's access so we can do very little to aid in the use of the system. It occurred to me that we might help the system load if we would voluntarily limit our use to certain days. There will be no hard system control and USGS traffic may be insignificant in the total traffic volume, but some limits on our part may help. To that end, I've devised the following access schedule in an effort to limit the numbers of users on the system at one time. Please limit your use of the EAGLS system to the following days based on your geographic location: Monday Headquarters Tuesday Eastern Region Wednesday Central Region Thursday Western Region Friday Open to all users Maybe this small step will help a little. It can't hurt.
