Subject:  Initial FY 1998 Federal and Tech Support Allocations

A tabulation of the initial Federal and Tech Support allocations for 
FY 1998 has been transmitted and can be retrieved from AIS.  This 
allocation table includes PLN Memo numbers 1-15 and Tech Support
Memo 1.  As mentioned before, it would be prudent to keep money in 
your reserve accounts until the budget uncertainties are resolved as 
we are operating under a Continuing Resolution.  The distribution of 
funds under the Office of the ACH/R (NRP and Water Resources Research 
Act), Climate (Global Change), and the FY 1998 Initiatives for Urban 
Hazards and Ecosystems will be allocated as soon as received.  We would 
appreciate receiving these allocations ASAP.  CBR funding will be added 
to the Federal table when the technical offices complete their 
allocations.  Future allocations are subject to review by the 
appropriate Assistant Chief Hydrologist and Thrust Program coordinators.
Please advise this office of any additions, deletions, or adjustments.
