After completing a Master's Degree from the University of Arizona, Dan began his USGS career in 1978 as a Hydrologist in the Fort Myers Field Office of the Miami, Florida Subdistrict. While in Fort Myers Dan served as project chief of an artificial recharge project and a saltwater intrusion project. In 1983 Dan transferred to the Arkansas District in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he served as project chief of a saltwater intrusion study and a Regional ground-water modeling effort. Dan also served as Reports Specialist in Arkansas for 2 years. In 1990 Dan transferred to the Nebraska District where he served as Investigations Section Chief as well as District Reports Specialist. In January 1997 Dan transferred to the Illinois District in Urbana, Illinois, as District Chief. Please join us in welcoming Dan back to the Central Region.
