Employees must have been on the agency's rolls at least 31 days prior to the agency's request for the early retirement authority in order to be eligible. Therefore, any employee who was not on our rolls as of February 1, 1998, is not eligible to take an early retirement under our current authority. 2. Employees on time-limited appointments (temporary, term) are no longer eligible for early retirement. 3. Employees who have received official notice that they are being separated for cause for misconduct or poor performance are not eligible for early retirement. If you have any questions regarding these restrictions, you should contact your servicing personnel office.
