Subject:  Termination of the Automated Vacancy Announcement Distribution
          System (AVADS)

The Department of the Interior's AVADS System, currently used by each 
bureau of the Department of the Interior, will no longer be available 
after September 30, 1998.

You may search for current vacancies with recruiting areas open 
governmentwide or all sources through USAJOBS located at the following 
url:

             http://www.usajobs.opm.gov/

USAJOBS is also available on the Assistant Chief Hydrologist for 
Operations homepage under Human Resources.  During this transition 
period, you may continue searching for vacancies through AVADS as well as 
USAJOBS.
