The Office of Managing Risk and Public Safety (MRPS) placed the Year 2000 
Embedded Microchip Hazards web page and related hazards database on line this 
morning.

You may reach the site through the MRPS home page located at: 

http://www.mrps.doi.gov and choosing the Law Enforcement and Security Team
and following the prompts OR by going straight to the page located at:  

http://www.mrps.doi.gov/y2kchips.htm

We ask that those of you with Y2K information on your home page set up a link 
and additionally that if you desire our page to link to yours, please forward 
that information.

We thank the Y2K Embedded-microchip Coordinators for their ideas and
efforts and especially members Karen Theobald and Fred Travnicek for walking
us through some early ideas.  We ESPECIALLY THANK Ray Fiorillo (MRPS-
programmer and GURU).  Ray made some changes to the trial edition in record 
time and makes it all work.

Any suggestions to improve the database should be made quickly before the
load prohibits any further adjustments.  Hint!  Once you read the reports list
by choosing Office of the Secretary or all bureaus, click on the specific item
to see more.
