Combined Federal Campaign - 1997 From: all@usgs.gov Date: Thu, 16 Oct 1997 08:02:33 -0400 To: "USGS Employees at Headquarters" Subject: CFC Original Date: October 14, 1997 To: All DOI Employees - D.C Area From: Ladan Manteghi Vice-Chair - Combined Federal Campaign Subject: Combined Federal Campaign - 1997 For more Information contact: John R. Rogers, (202) 208-2154. (NOTE TO SUPERVISORS: Please ensure that all employees without e-mail access receive a paper copy of the message.) Today, the Department begins its 1997 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). This year's theme is "It All Comes Back to You". Very few of us have not been touched in one way or another by a CFC-funded organization. Whether it involves using the "Fingerprints" day care center, receiving a new type of medical care, or working with a conservation organization, we all have some type of connection to the CFC. Now, we must make that circle complete and contribute to the CFC. In the past two years, the Department's 29% participation rate has been far less than its potential. Government wide, participation by our peers averages at 50%. We have some catching up to do. Our goal this year is to increase out participation to 40% and reach out dollar goal of $550,000. These are goals we can achieve, because in the past we have achieved similar goals and more! Soon, you will be receiving an information packet and pledge forms from your Bureau/Office keyworker. You will also be invited to department-wide activities as the campaign continues. Please join us at these celebrations to learn not only about the CFC, but about the specific organizations to which you can contribute. We must all make a strong commitment to make this year's campaign more successful than recent years, and we can do so by GIVING. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT NO CONTRIBUTION IS TOO SMALL!
