The conference is scheduled for all-day on October 21-22, 1998, at the National Center in Reston, Virginia. The focus for this conference will be attitudes, awareness, and accessible technologies that enable persons with disabilities to succeed in the workforce and is designed to strengthen and enhance our interpersonal working relationships through a better understanding of the diversity of human resources. Participation from Federal and State Government agencies, and private industry in state-of-the- art technology for the disabled, is planned throughout the 2-day event. Demonstrations, workshops, speakers, and exhibits that are designed to educate and enrich participants are included. I ask for your support for this conference, and encourage and look forward to your participation in this worthwhile event. Please add this conference to your October 21-22 schedule and encourage the support of your managers, supervisors, and employees. Participation in this event is creditable toward the requirement for diversity training for supervisors. Additional information regarding workshops and registration will be provided at a later date.
