Sabatini Division Administrative Officer Subject: Reissuance of American Express Cards This is a reminder that a Government American Express (AMEX) card that has been cancelled for nonpayment or misuse will not be reissued for a minimum of one year. A request for reinstatement of an AMEX card must include specific information on the disciplinary action taken by the supervisor in response to nonpayment or misuse and that the employee has been counseled to ensure no further abuses will occur should the card be reissued. This information will be used to evaluate the request for card reinstatement. After division approval, the reinstatement request will be sent to AMEX through the Office of Financial Management. AMEX makes final determination on reissuance of cards.
