Gendron Acting Chief, Branch of Classification and Position Management SUBJECT: Hazardous Duty Pay Claim Forms Personnel management authority for the approval of hazardous duty pay claims, which is delegated to designated management officials, has included the requirement to forward a copy of Form 9-1917 (Claim for Hazardous Duty Pay) to the servicing personnel office. This requirement has been eliminated and no longer appears in the distribution instruction section, Part D, of the form. For your convenience, the Hazardous Duty Pay Claim form is now available on In Forms 4.2 Electronic Forms Filler. We ask that you continue to obtain guidance as needed from the servicing personnel office to assure that hazardous duty pay claims include sufficient documentation and meet the full intent of SM 370.550.9, Hazardous Pay Differential. Please remember that servicing personnel offices have the responsibility to conduct periodic post audits of processed hazardous duty pay claims to assure conformance with legal and regulatory directives.
