Sabatini" Subject: Funding the Incremental costs for alternatively fueled vehicles Cc: "Nancy J Hill, Chief, Mgmt Support Section, Reston, VA" The incremental costs associated with alternatively fueled vehicles leased through GSA will be funded at the USGS bureau level as an uncontrollable cost and will not be included in rental fees charged to cost centers. The incremental cost is the amount in excess of the cost for a standard gasoline-fueled vehicle. (WRD's portion of the bureau uncontrollable costs are funded through the division assessment (WOTSC)). The charge to the USGS in FY 1998 is $16,000. Information on the mandatory use of alternatively fueled vehicles (AFV) has been forwarded under separate cover to the administrative officers on several occasions. Please contact your administrative officer or Nancy Hill if you have questions on the AFV program.
