The Water Resources Division (WRD) Instrumentation Committee (ICOM)
and the Instrumentation Technical Advisory Subcommittee (ITAS) held
a joint meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 3-6, 1997.  The
minutes of this meeting are available for your information at the

direct questions and comments regarding the minutes to your regional 
representative on the ICOM or ITAS (see Attachment 1 to the minutes),
or to Bill Shope (wgshope).

A summary of the November joint meeting was transmitted to you on 
December 5, 1997, via electronic mail.

We invite those who have requirements for a new or modified instrument
to visit the ICOM home page and to click on "reports" in the third 
paragraph.  You can review the progress of priority instrumentation 
projects, or click on the first button adjacent to "Create a New Form"
to identify a new need.  The home page software will allow you to 
forward the Instrument Needs Form to your ITAS representative for
consideration at the April 1998 ITAS meeting.

issues.
