YSI membrane kits To: "E - All WRD Employees" cc: "John C Mckenzie, Lead Phy Sci Tech, Ocala, FL" Subject: YSI membrane kits Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Date: Thu, 20 Feb 1997 14:03:11 -0500 From: "John C Mckenzie, Lead Phy Sci Tech, Ocala, FL" Problems have been reported in usage of YSI oxygen probe service kits, model number 5775, that were supplied by QWSU (Ocalaman). According to YSI, lot number 96H0080 was packaged with high sensitivity membranes instead of the standard membranes. The use of these high sensitivity membranes prohibit the normal calibration of dissolved oxygen meters. The lot number is printed on the label located on the outside of the box. The kits in question were received in Ocala 10/22/96. We are unable to determine exactly when shipment of these kits actually began. We do know, however, that only a maximum of 9 are unaccounted for. If you have ordered any of these kits from Ocala since 10/22/96 please check the lot number on the box. If the kits have this lot number and were ordered from Ocala we will replace them at no charge after receipt of returned kit in factory box bearing lot number 96H0080 accompanied by a copy of your supply order. If further information is needed I can be contacted at (352)237-5514 or geo-mail at jcmckenz@usgs.gov. Our apologies for any inconvenience this situation may cause. Regards! JCM
