Meeks Regional Hydrologist, Southeastern Region Subject: Selection of South Carolina District Chief We are pleased to announce the selection of Marjorie S. Davenport as the District Chief of South Carolina. Marge is currently the Assistant District Chief for Hydrologic Investigations where she has served since 1992. Marge began her career with the U.S. Geological Survey in 1986 in Raleigh, North Carolina where she conducted water-quality investigations. While in North Carolina she was Assistant District Chief for Management Operations and Water-Quality Specialist. In 1992, she was selected as the Water-Quality Specialist in South Carolina and, later that same year, was reassigned to her current position. She also served as District Reports Specialist. She has made valuable contributions to the Region and the Division on a variety of teams and committees such as the Southeastern Region Reports System Process Action Team, the WRD Regionalization Committee, and the Regional Tasks and Functions Committee. Marge has a Masters in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from North Carolina State University . Marge's experience in various district positions and her reports skills will serve the South Carolina program well. Please join us in welcoming Marge to her new position.
