Selection of New Mexico District Chief To: "E - All WRD Employees" Subject: Selection of New Mexico District Chief Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Date: Tue, 08 Jul 1997 14:08:09 -0600 From: "David J Lystrom, Regional Hydrologist, CR, Denver, CO" The Central Region is pleased to announce the selection of Linda Weiss as the new District Chief of New Mexico. Linda, who has been serving as District Chief in Nebraska since 1993, brings a wealth of talent to her new assignment. In 1983, after graduating from the University of Illinois with a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, Linda worked with the Illinois District as a Project Chief on several projects. In 1988, she transferred to Headquarters where she worked with the Army Corp of Engineers, Dredging Research Program. From 1989-1993, Linda held the position of Reports Improvement Advisor, Program Officer, and Chief of the Publications Section of the Mid-Atlantic Programs, as well as Section Chief of the Maryland, Delaware, and District of Columbia District's Modeling and Resources Assessment Section. As Nebraska District Chief, Linda has increased the cooperator base and has expanded studies making Nebraska's water-resources program multidisciplinary and more technically challenging. During the interim, before Linda reports for duty in Albuquerque, Rodger Ferreira will continue as Acting District Chief in New Mexico. Please join us in congratulating Linda and wishing her success in her new assignment.
