Tech Dev & Qual Sys, Denver, CO" I am pleased to announce that Richard L. Daddow has joined the Branch of Technical Development and Quality Systems. His major responsibilities are to manage the Quality Systems section of the Branch and to participate in the Standard Reference Water, Laboratory Evaluation, and Blind Sample Projects. He also will continue to spend some of his time working with John Powell in providing some QA training to DODEC personnel. Richard's previous work experience in quality assurance, database management, and hydrologic projects will serve him well in this assignment. For the last five years, he has been the QA manager and INGRES database manager for a very large DODEC superfund project in the Wyoming District. In addition to his years with the USGS, Richard worked eight years for the U.S. Forest Service as a hydrologist and soil scientist on a National Forest and in technology development and transfer at a national office level. Richard received his MS degree in soil science with emphasis in soil and water chemistry from the University of California, Davis. Please join us in welcoming Richard into the new position.
