Williams, Jr. We are pleased to announce that Bob Williams has accepted a new assignment for the Division. Bob will report to the Office of Water Quality (OWQ), be located at the National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL), and have duty assignments from the OWQ, NWQL, and the National Water Quality Assessment (NAWQA) Program. His primary focus will be liaison and interface among these three organizations and between these and the rest the U.S. Geological Survey. Bob's previous work experience will serve him well in this assignment. Bob has over twenty years of District experience and also served as the Assistant Chief of the NWQL. In that assignment, he worked with District Chiefs, water-quality specialists, NAWQA personnel, Regional Water Quality Specialists, and headquarters staff. Because of his experience and skills, Bob has established high credibility throughout the Division. In his new position, Bob will build on this base to establish and maintain effective communications between Division offices and programs and between our field hydrologists and our chemists and biologists at the NWQL.
