The National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL) wants to remind its customers 
that the fiscal year close-out date for receipt of samples is the second 
Friday of September.  For FY97, the close-out date is September 12.  Final 
NWQL billings should be available no later than Thursday, September 18, 1997.  
When the LABBUDG monthly budget information is available, it will be posted 
in Newsgroup usgs.labnews.

Any samples or requests for field supplies received by the NWQL through close 
of business September 12, 1997, will be charged to FY97.  Anything received 
after that date will be charged to FY98 unless special arrangements have been 
made through the NWQL Administrative Unit.  Please contact Debi Treseder 
(TRESEDER) to make such arrangements.
