This means: Direct Deposits may be posted to accounts on the second Tuseday of the pay period instead of Thursday. Although deposits may be made earlier, the official pay day for the Department of the Interior employees will remain the second Thursday of the pay period. Nonreceipt claims of EFT salary payments should not be made until the official pay day (The second Thursday of the pay period). Employees are responsible for assuring that funds are available in their account before writing checks against it. Some banks continue to make funds available to depositors only on and after the official pay day. Information regarding pay, leave, and payroll activities may be found on the Denver Administrative Service Center Payroll News and Notes internal access web site using the following Universal Resource Locator (URL): http://www/dasc.doi.gov/payroll/news.htm As always, please assure that those employees without access to electronic mail receive a copy of this message.
