Change in Interdivision Allocation Process for FY 1997 To: "AO - All Administrative Officers" cc: "Cassie R Pufnock, Program Assistant, Reston, VA" , "Catherine L Hill, ACH/Operations, Reston, VA" , "Carlyn V West, Program Analyst, Reston, VA" , "Stephen F Blanchard, Deputy ACHO, Reston, VA" Subject: Change in Interdivision Allocation Process for FY 1997 Date: Wed, 15 Jan 1997 07:53:29 -0500 From: "Alice A Sabatini, Administrative Officer, Reston, VA" This fiscal year, the bureau will be testing the process for transferring funds between divisions. Large blocks of federal program funding will be reallocated to the division performing the work. For WRD this means that most of the larger (usually over $100,000) interdivision transfers will be allocated to cost centers using the customer number 0001A instead of the previously used 0004x (where x stands for the division: G for GD, etc.). The Branch of Operational Support will make the determination of which customer number to use prior to allocating the funds via AIS. All normal assessment practices apply and are unchanged for FY 1997. When allocations of money that originates in another division is done using the 0001A customer number, WRD will track the funding under the program element used by the other division and not assign our own (for example, if the funding is from GD, the program element number will begin with a 7 instead of a 4). Please contact your Regional Administrative Officer, Cassie Pufnock, Kelly Bradley or me if you have questions.
