J. Conomos Regional Hydrologist Subject: New Utah District Chief We are pleased to announce that Kimball E. Goddard has been selected as the District Chief of the Utah District. After graduating from Pennsylvania State University in Geochemistry, Kim began his WRD career as a Hydrologic Field Assistant performing streamgaging duties in the Pueblo, Colorado Subdistrict. Kim was promoted to Hydrologist and later transferred to the Grand Junction, Colorado Subdistrict office for the next 3 years. For 5 years, he served as the Chief of the Rapid City, South Dakota Subdistrict. He later served as a project chief for 10 interpretive studies. Kim has served as an instructor in briefing Federal Congressional Staff, spoken before State Senate Appropriations Committees, and served as an adjunct professor of Civil Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Kim is certainly not a newcomer to the Western Region, as he has he held senior management positions for the past 4-1/2 years. He was the Assistant Chief of the Hydrologic Investigations Section for the Arizona District and is currently the Assistant District Chief for the Hydrologic Investigations and Research Section in the Idaho District. We are confident that the Utah District will benefit from Kim's enthusiasm as well as the technical and management experience that he will bring to this position, and that he will continue to enhance the excellent program already in place.
