Please use the following format to request permission. We have added more information on the scope of work, the estimated rate of expenditure and number of people who will be working on the agreement. Two examples of the scope of work follow. Revised Attachment 2 The following format should be used to request permission to perform work funded by another Federal Agency during the furlough. Permission will be granted only when the agreement has been collected in advance. 1. Name of the other Federal Agency (provide customer number if known): 2. Number USGS has assigned to the agreement: 3. Date agreement signed and accepted by USGS: 4. Project on which work is to be accomplished and scope of work to be performed (e.g. how many measurements; work that will be performed during shutdown) : 5. For Streamgaging: Work will be done for the ACOE in the following areas: a. Maintenance of about 60 ACOE gaging stations and processing/publication of records for these stations; b. Maintenance of rating tables on the ACOE computer; and c. Design of a data-collection network to measure total dissolved gas in the Columbia River in support of a program to protect endangered salmon. 2. For IRP work: Assessment of shallow ground-water system Two employees are needed to finsih the deliverable (admin report) due February 26, 1996.
