Rogerson, Chief National Water Quality Laboratory Branch of Analytical Services Subject: Annual District Workload Questionnaire, January Request The National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL) is once again calling for cost center analytical workload estimates for Fiscal Year 1996. The format is the same as prior requests. We are requesting numbers for the entire year. Please do not include NASQAN samples that are billed directly to the Headquarters account overseen by the Office of Water Quality (OWQ). OWQ has agreed to provide those as totals to NWQL directly. Please provide the information to the NWQL Administrative Officer, Deborah Treseder (EDOC: TRESEDER), by January 22, 1996, in the following format (#(Samples)/$$(Dollars): District Projects NAWQA DODEC Organics # / $$ # / $$ # / $$ Inorganics # / $$ # / $$ # / $$ Radiochem # / $$ # / $$ # / $$ Taxonomic ID Vertebrates # / $$ # / $$ # / $$ Invertebrates # / $$ # / $$ # / $$ Algae # / $$ # / $$ # / $$ Compiled by: of (District): Phone number: Date compiled: Please annotate your responses with additional information that would help NWQL understand your requirements. We understand that this is a very uncertain time for all Government operations, but please make your best estimates. The NAWQA and DODEC columns in the table are specifically for projects associated with those programs. The first column, District Projects, is for all other programs, including Co-op Programs, Other Federal Programs, and any other unspecified programs--except NASQAN. DODEC refers to the program administered by John Powell in Technical Support and coordinated by Dorothy Walker at NWQL. Analyses are currently conducted by contract to Enseco, Inc. Please include all samples for each column associated with NWQL --both contracted through and analyzed in-house. NOTE: We ask that whoever is responsible for coordinating the District submission work with the NAWQA Study Unit Chiefs and the DODEC Project Chiefs to gather the best estimates possible. It is crucial, especially in these uncertain times, to have the best numbers we can to assure efficient operations for all of our District customers. The reporting dates for the remainder of the fiscal year are April 19 and July 19, 1996. cc: Dave Rickert Janice Ward Regional QW Specialists Management Advisory Committee District QW Specialists Administrative Officers
