Schneider Assistant Chief Hydrologist for Technical Support Subject: Selection of Middle East Water Data Banks Plan Coordinator On September 13, 1995, a memorandum describing a temporary assignment as U.S. Coordinator of the Middle East Water Data Banks Plan was transmitted to all Water Resources Division employees. We are pleased to announce that Jeffrey Miller, former Central Region Computer Specialist, has been selected to serve as the Coordinator. Effective immediately, Jeff will focus his efforts toward implementation of the Water Data Banks Plan. His work will further U.S. efforts to foster cooperation among Palestinian, Jordanian, and Israeli water managers and organizations leading to development of compatible water data banks. This will present an exciting and challenging career change for Jeff, and he will need the support and encouragement of his U.S. Geological Survey colleagues as he moves forward in the peace process.
