Subject:        Workshop on "Internet Basics"

On Tuesday, May 21, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., the U.S. Geological 
Survey's Business Enterprise Council will host a workshop on "Internet 
Basics."  The workshop is sponsored by the Greater Reston Chamber of 
Commerce and is open to anyone interested in attending.  USGS employees are 
welcome.  The event will feature presentations and demonstrations by America 
On-Line describing how to access the Internet and optimize its use, 
particularly from a business perspective.  The U.S. Geological Survey will 
also participate in the demonstrations and show workshop attendees how we 
have made use of the Internet and World Wide Web through our HomePages.

There is no fee for USGS employees interested in attending the workshop.  To
