Fitzpatrick as Illinois District Chief. Dan's pre-USGS work experience includes service as a Peace Corps volunteer in Central America and as a graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arizona. He started his Survey career in Fort Myers, Florida, in 1978, where he assumed project chief duties of two investigations; relocated to the Arkansas District in 1983 where he served as project chief of complex multi-discipline investigations and as District Reports Specialist; and transferred to the Nebraska District in 1990 where he has served as Chief of the Hydrologic Investigations Section. Dan brings to the Northeastern Region both technical expertise and long-term District management and program development experience. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University and a Master of Science degree from the University of Arizona. Please join us in welcoming Dan to the Illinois District.
