ADMIN-Personnel.Changes.in.CR To: chiefs@srv2rcolka.cr.usgs.gov, everybody@srv2rcolka.cr.usgs.gov, "A - Division Chief and Staff" From: "David J Lystrom, Acting Regional Hydrologist CR, Denver, CO" Subject: ANNOUNCEMENT Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Date: Tue, 11 Jun 1996 13:43:32 -0600 Sender: "Linda L Fritchie, Secretary (Stenography), Denver, CO" The Central Region Regional Hydrologist's Office is pleased to announce the permanent reassignment of James E. Kircher to the Associate Regional Hydrologist position. Jim brings a wealth of talent and experience to the Regional Office. He began his career with the Wyoming District while completing his Masters Degree at CSU. His early career experience included an assignment to the Regional Sediment Group in Denver, and later, Sediment Specialist, Project Chief, and Supervisor of Computers and Reports Section in the Colorado District. More recently, Jim served as Wyoming District Chief and Area Hydrologist for the CR-North Area. Jim will begin the relocation process as soon as possible. We are also pleased to announce that Charles (Bob) Burchett will be serving in the capacity of Acting Regional Program Officer until further notice. He will be in the Regional Office about two weeks out of every month. We will provide you his schedule when it is firm. Effective immediately, the "Area" concept is abolished in the Central Region. We would like to ask that the districts continue to work closely with each other in accomplishing the mission and goals of the Survey. The "Area" concept brought a closer communication and collaboration between districts and that is something we do not want to lose sight of. With this action, the Central Region has essentially returned to the previous organizational structure. The Associate Regional Hydrologist will be in charge of operations and the Program Officer will be in charge of programs and technical support. We will operate in this general mode until the regional functions and roles are further defined by the Regional Function Team and the four Regional Hydrologists. Please give Jim and Bob your full support in their continued commitment to the U.S. Geological Survey and the Central Region of the Water Resources Division. ------- End of Forwarded Message
