The FY 1996 amendment increases the maximum dollar limitation for reimbursement of allowable real estate expenses incident to a change of official station. The total that may be reimbursed in connection with the sale shall not exceed 10 percent of the actual sale price or $22,398, whichever is the lesser amount. The total that may be reimbursed in connection with the purchase shall not exceed 5 percent of the purchase price or $11,198, whichever is the lesser amount.
