Subject:	Improper Use of Card Access Doors

This memorandum requests your cooperation to ensure that only authorized 
individuals access the building through doors with cardkey access 
systems.  Employees and contractors using authorized cardkeys at the 
underpass, 1P, or print plant doors should not provide admittance or 
egress to other individuals.  Individuals who do not have a cardkey to 
these doors should enter only through the public-access doors.  If you 
require a cardkey, contact your Administrative Officer.

Some employees and contractors are disregarding this policy.  
Individuals are entering the building through these doors either by 
"tailgating" someone with a cardkey or using a card not issued to them. 
 These practices are prohibited.  

Your cooperation will help us control building access and thereby 
provide a secure workplace.  This objective is the purpose of our 
heightened security procedures and one that you are obligated to 
support.  If you have questions about the security procedures or need to 
report a security problem or violation, please call the contract guard 
force at 648-7560 or the Security Office at 648-4467.
