Change in Property Pass Policy On Reply Refer To: Mail Stop 210 MEMORANDUM December 14, 1995 To: Administrative Officers From: Darlene Sira Property Management Officer Subject: Change in Property Pass Policy The Property Pass, Form DI-1934, may now be used for long-term (not to exceed one year) temporary removal of Government-owned property from USGS facilities. The authorizing official(s) remain the same, and the property must be returned before an employee leaves the position occupied at the time of issuance of the pass. The preparer should indicate "LONG TERM" on the form. All other procedures relating to property passes, as set forth in the Property Management Handbook, Chapter 3, Paragraph 4, remain in effect. The security force at the National Center has been advised of this new policy, and the change will be incorporated in the next revision of the Property Management Handbook.
