PUBLICATIONS--Revised Statement Regarding Dissolved Trace-Element Data Production In Reply Refer To: March 20, 1992 WGS-Mail Stop 412 OFFICE OF WATER QUALITY TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM NO. 92.04 Subject: PUBLICATIONS--Revised Statement Regarding Dissolved Trace-Element Data Production This memorandum contains a revised statement on dissolved trace element data to be included in the State annual data reports. Revision was requested by the Assistant Chief Hydrologist for Scientific Information Management who has policy oversight of Water Resources Division publications. While the statement for reports is revised, the reasons for this statement, as discussed in the Office of Water Quality (OWQ) Technical Memorandum 92.03, remain unchanged. Please include the following statement in State annual data reports for 1991: "Historical and current (19xx) dissolved trace-element concentrations are reported herein for water that was collected, processed, and analyzed by using either ultraclean or other than ultraclean techniques. If ultraclean techniques were used, then those concentrations are reported in nanograms per liter. If other than ultraclean techniques were used, then those concentrations are reported in micrograms per liter and could reflect contamination introduced during some phase of the procedure." David A.
