Subject:  SEDIMENT CHEMISTRY--Analytical standards

The attached Administrative Report by Arthur J. Horowitz, 
"The Use of Reference Materials for Projects Using Solid 
Phase Chemical Data," calls attention to the use of standard 
reference materials to assure the accuracy of analytical data 
on solid-phase materials.  Anyone planning to use analytical 
data on solid-phase materials should assure himself that the 
analytical laboratory has used reference materials similar to 
his own samples.  The attached report provides information on 
sources of such materials.

author in the Georgia District Office.
