OFFICE OF WATER QUALITY TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM 87.03
Subject: EQUIPMENT--pH Measurement in Low Conductivity
Waters
The attached paper, "Some Recommendations and Comments on pH
Measurement of Low Conductivity Waters," by Busenberg and
Plummer, of the National Research Program, provides the new
guidance on care and use of pH electrodes that we promised in
Quality of Water Branch Technical Memorandum 85.13.
All who are involved in making pH measurements should find
it of interest. And those who are working with low
conductivity waters will find this information essential.
The authors intend to publish this paper as a Water-Resources
Investigation Report.
