          activities in the Quality of Water Branch, 
          July - September 1960.

Attached is an informal report on the activities of the 
Quality of Water Branch during the period July through 
September 1960. The report summarizes the more noteworthy 
happenings, including more important meetings and 
conferences, progress on project and research studies, status 
of reports, and other items of interest, both in the 
Washington office and field offices of the Branch. In 
addition to providing you with a condensed report on 
activities in the Branch, this also serves as a medium to 
convey information of general interest to field offices of 
the Branch throughout the country.
