Subject:  WATER, QUALITY - Cost of water analysis

A copy of an operations research study, "An examination of 
costs incurred in water analysis," is attached.  This 
administrative report, by H. A. Swenson, evaluates costs of 
water analyses as to reasonableness and explores means to 
reduce these costs.

The report will be a useful document in program planning and 
as a reference in preparing estimates for analytical work.  
The factors on page 39 are pertinent to maintaining a 
reasonable level of analytical cost.
