Subject: PUBLICATIONS - "Application of the Digital Computer for
                        Aquifer Evaluation," by G. F. Pinder and
                        J. D. Bredehoeft.

The attached research paper presents a quantitative evaluation for
unsteady-state flow in a confined aquifer, using finite-difference
techniques with a digital computer for solution of the equations.
Application to a small aquifer in Nova Scotia is described.

It is recommended that the paper be studied carefully be district
ground-water specialists and other interested technical personnel.
