Summary

These data were released prior to the October 1, 2016 effective date for the USGS’s policy dictating the review, approval, and release of scientific data as referenced in USGS Survey Manual Chapter 502.8 Fundamental Science Practices: Review and Approval of Scientific Data for Release. This dataset consists of water well locations, selected well-construction data, and hydrologic data, that are based on permit transactions submitted to the State Engineer Office, Division of Water Resources, Colorado Department of Natural Resources.

Purpose

This dataset consists of water well locations, selected well-construction data, and hydrologic data, that are based on permit transactions submitted to the State Engineer Office, Division of Water Resources, Colorado Department of Natural Resources. Reported depth-to-water measurements for selected wells were used to prepare a map of the long-term regional water table in the Raton Basin, in the northern part of Las Animas County, Colorado.
