Summary

RSPARROW is an open-source system of R scripts and functions for executing and evaluating SPARROW models, with output generated in graphical, map, and tabular forms. Users operate the system in RStudio from a single R control script that manages access to the supporting input files and functions. The documentation describes the steps necessary to estimate the static version of the model. Static SPARROW models provide reach-level predictions (and uncertainties) of the long-term mean annual water-quality loads and flow-weighted concentrations. Purpose

The objective was to create an open-source R version of the software for developing and executing SPARROW static water-quality models, including the use of code.usgs.gov to ensure standardized methods of storage, maintenance, documentation, and retrieval of the R functions and control scripts.
