The USGS Yucca Mountain Project Branch consists of about 80 people. Interdisciplinary teams of geologists, hydrologists, technicians, and other support personnel work together, including Bureau of Reclamation and contract employees. Most employees are located at the Denver Federal Center, Colorado. Others are located in California and at DOE offices in Nevada and Virginia. Many Branch employees have been working on the Project for more than 10 years.

The Branch consists of four teams

The Branch Chief is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Branch is under the oversight of the Chief of the Office of Ground Water in Reston, Virginia.
