Project Summary: The purpose of this project is to articulate and disseminate both the challenges to and importance of sustainability of freshwater supplies at a Water Forum to be held in the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM) Sustainability Courtyard (SC). The primary goal is the promotion of water resource management literacy. The proposed interdisciplinary project involves collaboration among UHM faculty and students, as well as Federal and State agencies involved in water management. Students will be involved in the planning of the event, as well as be involved in data collection and the preparation of conference posters and exhibit materials in collaboration with Water Resources Research Center faculty and affiliates. The SC as a center of campus engagement is an educational benefit to facilitate understanding of key issues associated with water management in the State of Hawai‘i.
